Bounty Killer mourns father death!


Constantine Basil Pryce, the father of ace deejay Bounty Killer died yesterday after being ill.

The deejay, whose real name is Rodney Pryce, is said to have shared a good relationship with his dad.

When THE STAR contacted the deejay yesterday, he was in no mood to talk, and his only comment was: "Mi a ask everybody fi pray fi mi."

Sharon Burke of Solid Agency, Killer's booking agent, also said that she was not at liberty to offer much information. She said, however, that because of their close relationship, the deejay was greatly affected by his passing.

"Rodney is a family man, they were close, they would go out, spar together ... . There was even a picture in the media with him (Bounty) and his father at a football match," Burke said.

In a email received from Julian Jones-Griffith late last night he pointed out that the elder Pryce had become ill was taken to the hospital.

No arrangements have been made as yet for the funeral.

Bounty Killer has been a very dominant figure in the dancehall for more than a decade, and is known for a slew of hits over the years, among them, Poor People Fed Up and Lodge.
